Indeed's Advanced Job Prioritization Page: Key Takeaways

The Job Prioritization dashboard provides users access to an extensive array of information. In the initial segment, the following data is presented:

  • Unique Open Jobs

The total number of positions available will be shown here.

  • Applies on Open Jobs

This section allows users to check the total sum of job positions' applications.

  • Hires on Open Jobs

Here, users can view how many candidates were hired.

  • Applies to Hire on Open Jobs

This data indicates the ratio of applies to hire concerning open job positions.

  • Avg. CPA on Open Jobs

CPA stands for Cost Per Action, and this section lets users see how much of the total sum was spent for each generated lead.

  • Total Spent on Open Jobs

The total amount of budget spent in the selected period will be shown here.

The provided information can be further refined by applying filters based on Date, Company, Division, User, Channel, Job Reference Number, Job Title, City, State, and Country. Upon selecting one or more filters, the dashboard content will be narrowed down to display only the data corresponding to the specified criteria.

It is worth noting that users and administrators can save and conveniently access any applied filters. Furthermore, details regarding the filter creator are also available for viewing.

Small Audience

The next segment of the Job Prioritization dashboard provides an overview of all jobs classified as 'Small Audience.' To be categorized as such, jobs need to have low organic appeal with a small budget in the campaign, be located in a small town with not enough people in the area, and/or even have a job title that might be "too niche" (e.g., Neurosurgeon).

Our overarching approach to enhancing the performance of these jobs entails the following:

  • Creating a single job campaign on Indeed with a dedicated job budget.

  • Advertising on different job boards if the location has over 300,000 people within a 25-miles radius.

  • Advertising on Social Media to target passive candidates.

  • Sourcing candidates and conducting an outbound recruiting campaign.

Overperforming Jobs

This particular section grants users the ability to review job positions that are part of a sponsored campaign and have already amassed a sufficient number of applications to secure a hire.

Our overall approach to managing these job positions varies depending on whether they are Evergreen or non-Evergreen jobs.

  • For Evergreen Jobs: It is advisable to keep the advertisements active. Pausing the sponsoring is only suggested when the campaign has an overabundance of candidates.

  • For Non-Evergreen Jobs: Sponsoring must be stopped for positions that have reached the designated number of hires and/or if the number of candidates is 30% higher than the Apps/Hire ratio.

Unattractive Jobs

Following this, the subsequent section of the Job Prioritization dashboard presents a list of positions classified as 'Unattractive Jobs.' This classification may be attributed to a variety of reasons, including Job Seekers perceiving the job as unappealing after reading the job description, lower company ratings when compared to competitors, and/or the job position appearing in search results in a distant location from the job seeker's actual location

Our general strategy to optimize the performance of these job positions involves the following:

  • First of all, review if the job, despite being perceived as unappealing, still attracts sufficient candidates at a good CPA. If the answer is positive, there is no need to take any action.

  • Analyze the reason for the job unattractiveness by reviewing other jobs at that exact location (check the job description, pay rate, perks, etc.).

  • Advertise on different job boards.

Unsponsored Jobs

This section lets users view all job postings not currently spending money on Indeed. By analyzing the job positions that are not currently spending money, users can identify potential opportunities to allocate budget more effectively and drive more qualified candidates to their open roles.
